Description

The main doc you need to create an LLC is an operating agreement, and there are two types of operating agreements (manager managed and member managed). This E-book contains both a template for a manager-managed LLC operating agreement as well as a member-managed LLC operating agreement. These are really the only docs you need, but the Sloth is also including a bonus doc here for you – instructions on how to file for your EIN (employer identification number) with the IRS. You will definitely need an EIN as an LLC, and a lot of services online will try to charge you money for this – but it’s a piece of cake and you can do it FOR FREE at the IRS website. Please never pay a service to file your EIN for you (unless it’s included as part of some other package – for instance, some services that file the LLC for you will file the EIN for you as well). In the EIN instructions, the Sloth also provides some directions on how to find and hire a registered agent to actually register your LLC with your secretary of state.
